Weleda Mum Perineal Massage Oil 50ml

Weleda Mum Perineal Massage Oil is a natural product developed specifically to provide flexibility to the perineal tissue through massage, helping to avoid the need for an episiotomy during childbirth .

Its 100% natural, fragrance-free formula with sweet almond oil makes it safe for the delicate intimate area. This oil has been designed for pregnant women from week 34 onwards to keep the perineal tissue elastic and prepared for the stresses of childbirth, thus increasing the likelihood of a vaginal delivery without an episiotomy.

In addition, its regular use helps to give flexibility to the perineal tissue, avoiding the need for an incision during childbirth.

    How to use

    ico-chevron-down

    1. Apply the oil to the outer lips and between the vagina and the anus.

    2. Massage the inner perineal area with the tip of your thumb and the outer perineal area with your fingers, first with gentle pressure and gradually increasing it slightly.

    3. Perform the massage by tracing imaginary radii.

    4. Insert your thumb further into the vagina.

As you do this, exhale and stretch the tissue downwards and outwards towards the anus. Repeat the massage, trying to trace imaginary radii between the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. You should feel a sensation of tension and resistance, but not pain.
