Mepiform Silicone Dressings 10x18cm 2x5 units
Mepiform is an adherent silicone sheet that is indicated for the treatment of all types of scars, caused by burns, surgical interventions, wounds, etc.
It can be used on both old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars, as well as on closed wounds to prevent the appearance of these types of scars.
Mepiform has proven effective in smoothing, softening and depigmenting red or purplish scars.
In old scars, after five weeks of treatment, depigmentation of the scar has been observed, matching it with the color of the skin, in more than 90% of treated cases.
Mepiform has proven to be effective in 90% of cases.

Composition of the dressing:

Treatment with Mepiform® should be started when the wound is completely healed.
The greatest clinical benefits in treatment with Mepiform® have been obtained when the use of the dressing has been continuous.
It is therefore recommended to use it 24 hours a day.
Mepiform® can be used simultaneously with any type of creams.
If this is your case, make sure that the cream has been perfectly absorbed before placing Mepiform® on the scar.
When you go to shower, make sure that all the edges of Mepiform® are well adhered to your skin, this way the dressing will remain on the scar longer.
It can even improve adhesion in cases where adhesion has been lost because the dressing becomes dirty.
It is recommended to uncover the wound for monitoring once a day.
This ensures that the healing process progresses correctly.
Tech Tip
Daily skin inspection and washing is recommended. A Mepiform® sheet can be worn for 7 or more days as it does not lose its microadhesion properties. A treatment duration of between 2 and 6 months is recommended depending on the conditions of the scar.

How to use
1.-Open the container and remove the dressing.
2.- Cut the dressing, if necessary, to adapt it to the size of the wound. Leave 1 cm. or more on each side at least.
3.- When applying Mepiform® check that the skin is dry. When used together with creams, ensure that it has been well absorbed before applying.
4.- Remove the protective paper and apply Mepiform® on the scar, exerting light pressure on the entire surface of the dressing.
Avoid stretching it when applied to joints.
5.- Mepiform® can be worn 24 hours a day, even during showers and baths.
